Well thought out features

It is one thing to simply have features.  For example, many companies produce software with a "Whiteboard".  If the whiteboard is not easy to use, functional, practical, and powerful your conference would not be successful.  TeleWRITER-AGS™ has features that are very well thought out and extremely refined.  Some of our features are: 

Whiteboard

Multiple systems can be connected in one conference.  If you are currently performing audio only conference calls, TeleWRITER-AGS™ gives you a way to add several new dimensions to your conference calls.  Because it is T.120 compatible, you can also use an optional MCU to take advantage of other T.120 server features.

With "Full Screen View" our whiteboard takes up 100% of your screen area.  Floating toolbars can be minimized so the only thing showing is the whiteboard.

High resolution images can be displayed including .GIF, .TIF, .JPG, .PNG, .PCX, .BMP, and .TGA 

Background images can be annotated (written on) and the annotations can all be undone with the press of one button.  The background image will not be erased.

Tools include a marker, highlighter, pointer, text tool, eraser, and geometrics (rectangle, filled rectangle, circle, filled circle, and lines).  Multiple colors and line widths can be selected. 

Images are pre-stored on the participants computer.  Graphics are not color reduced, not blurry (due to compression), and do not take up valuable bandwidth (Bandwidth is the size and speed of a connection to a network.)

Images can also be sent between systems with minimal or no compression. The speed that images are sent is determined by your available bandwidth.

The whiteboard image can be saved with the annotations in the above mentioned file types.
The image can be zoomed in or out to any size between 25% to 800% of the original image size.  This variable zoom feature allows for the optimum image size without the need to scroll around the screen.  Physicians use the zoom to look closely at X-rays and medical photos for Tele-medicine CME images.

Motion video files can be started and stopped on command.  All sites in the conference are synchronized.  Because the files are pre-stored, the images are not compressed and streamed.  This gives you television quality images.  An additional advantage is that your network is not "clobbered" with huge streaming video files.

While giving a presentation to a live audience, hook your PC up to a projection system and use TeleWRITER-AGS™ as a stand alone presentation tool. The same tools that make TeleWRITER-AGS™ a powerful conferencing system will make your presentation professional and powerful.

Software Collaboration and Sharing

• Share software to let others in a conference watch you run another software application. • Conduct live "Web Tours" of other Internet sites by sharing your browser. • Collaborate software to allow other users to control your shared application.  (Collaborating is optional.  If you are concerned with security or the integrity of your data only 'share' the application.)

Audio and Video

• Use an audio bridge, bridging service or your regular telephone for the best possible quality audio.  •H.323 point to point audio and video can be done using the same connection as your software.  IP based audio and video is dependent on the bandwidth of your connection and the disposition of your network. TeleWRITER-AGS™ can produce good quality audio and video with as little as 28.8 bandwidth.  • Multipoint H.323 audio and video can be done with the use of a Multimedia MCU.  Because TeleWRITER-AGS™ is H.323 compliant almost any Multimedia MCU can be used.

Slide Show 

• Related images can be easily linked together with our slide show feature.  •Thumbnail pictures are displayed so you can conveniently arrange the order of the slides and select slides.  • You can easily go out of order with the jump feature.  • Image directories can be synchronized without the involvement of the remote sites. The presenter can control the entire presentation or class. • Buttons can be added to any image to link images and start multimedia elements.

Instructor Controls and Quizzing 

• Remote interaction can be disabled during lecture portions.  • Private interaction can be done between instructor site and a selected system without the other systems seeing any annotations. • Quizzes can be used to test comprehension.  • Questions can be asked discretely with the question button.  • Control can be passed to a new instructor. • Instructor Override can be used to take control back from an unauthorized system.

TCP/IP networks include LAN's (Local Area Networks) WAN's (Wide Area Networks) and the Internet.  The Internet allows you to make a local call to your Internet service provider and conduct a data conference internationally, without paying long distance charges.  • Dial up devices can be used for people with modems to directly dial into a TeleWRITER-AGS™ conference through the Internet.
